Development and Application of a Big Data Analysis-Based Procedure to Identify Concerns about Renewable Energy

To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, Korea has been expanding its investment in renewal energy distribution and technology development. However, with this rapid expansion of renewable energy, public concern about it grown. This study developed used a big data analysis-based procedure to analyze the questions registered on Naver, largest portal site Korea, from 2008 2020 identify over energy. The consisted two steps. first was frequency analysis most frequently words. second classify using term frequency-inverse document (TF-IDF) weight cosine similarity based word2vec. revealed words related such as “solar power,” “power generation,” “energy,” “wind power.” It also questions, those solar panel installation, generation methods, certificates. continue is becoming increasingly important understand public’s concerns create method resolve their objections expected that may provide relevant insight for method.
